wbraunWolfgang Braun is owner and managing director of META Mergers & Acquisitions Ltd. He started his career in 1983 at Hewlett Packard as Marketing Engineer and Product Manager. Digital Equimpent hired him 1986 as Account Consultant. He moved to Robert Bosch in 1988 into the CIO office, where he implemented Business Applications in ERP, CAM and CAQ. 1990 he joined Daimler as Senior Manager for Corporate Strategy. In this role he acquired 38 IT companies. 1992 he was sent as expatriate to Cagemini in Paris and was responsible for the merger integration with debis. 1994 he was promoted to Business Development Director, where he lauched Application Management and was responsible for 45 Outsourcing Deals. 1996 he joint Corporate Executive Development as Vice President and founded the Corporate University for Daimler, EADS, AEG Debis and later Chrysler executives. in 1999 he joined META Group as Managing Director for META M&A. In 2001, Wolfgang Braun was nominated to the European Board of META Group. In this position he was involved in the acquisition of  META Group by Gartner in 2003. At the same time he was hired as Adviser to the Board of Daimler as Crisis Executive for Toll Collect. After successful operation of Toll Collect, the MBO of META M&A was signed and Wolfgang continued to provide Consulting Services to his clients. In 2005 he founded Kompetenzhaus with a former Digital colleague and supports him as advisory board member in serving mid size companies.

Wolfgang Braun has earned his Diplom at the Fachhochschule Furtwangen in Electrical Engineering and completed his Master of Science degree at New Jersey Institute of Technology under a Fulbright scholarship programme in USA. He teaches Strategy in Business Schools and works with research institutes on actual business trends.
